BLIZZARD ALUMNI SARAH OWUSU voted to All-OVC teaM
Owusu ranks second on the team with five goals. She has also dished out two assists.
The redshirt freshman forward from Brampton, Ontario was voted OVC Offensive Player of the Week on August 28 after scoring three goals over a weekend in which EKU earned wins over Ball State and IUPUI.
On October 2, Owusu scored the golden goal in double-overtime that lifted EKU past in-state rival Morehead State, 4-3. She added another goal in the Colonels' 3-1 win at Belmont in Nashville on October 7.
Owusu ranks second on the team in shots (32), shots on goal (17) and game-winning goals (three).

Blizzard alumni Sarah Owusu earns Offensive Player of the Week
BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Following three wins in six days, the Eastern Kentucky University soccer team swept the Ohio Valley Conference weekly awards on Tuesday.
Owusu scored three goals over the weekend in EKU's two home wins over Ball State and IUPUI. The forward out of Brampton, Ontario struck early in both games. In the win over Ball State on Friday, she scored the game-winner in the fifth minute off an assist from senior Bailly Bounds, vaulting the Colonels to a 1-0 victory over the three-time defending MAC West champions. On Sunday, Owusu scored in the sixth minute to give EKU a quick 1-0 advantage over IUPUI. She added another goal in the 61st minute to seal the victory.
WOMEN'S SOCCER ANNOUNCES KENT AS LATEST RECRUIT
TORONTO - Keira Kent will join the Ryerson Rams women’s soccer team as the fifth recruit of the 2018-19 recruiting class, as announced by the team on Tuesday.
A native of Etobicoke, Ont., Kent joins the Rams from just outside the city. The defender played her club soccer with the Toronto Blizzard, competing in both the U21 Provincial Elite and League One divisions. Prior to her time with the Blizzard, Kent played for the Woodbridge Strikers.
Rams announce Samantha Naus as first recruit
TORONTO - The Ryerson Rams women’s soccer team is excited to announce the release of the 2018-19 recruiting class, beginning with defender Samantha Naus.
Naus, a Brampton, Ont. native, played for the Toronto Blizzard F.C. in 2017. Prior to joining the Blizzard, Naus spent 14 seasons with the Dixie Athletics, a local soccer club based in Mississauga.
Makenzie Kavanagh commits to jacksonville
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Looking to finalize her roster heading into the 2018 Fall season, Jacksonville University head women's soccer coach Laura Kane announced the addition of Canadian product Makenzie Kavanagh to the team's depth chart Thursday afternoon.
"We are excited for Makenzie to join the dolphin family," Kane said. "Not only will she will bring tremendous pace and athleticism to our backline, but she will be a great student and teammate as well."
Oral roberts university add Daliisha Spence to Fall Roster
TULSA, Okla. - The Oral Roberts women's soccer team has signed Daliisha Spencer to the 2018 squad, head coach Roger Bush announced today.
Spence is a 5-foot-5 forward from Brampton, Ontario, Canada. She is the daughter of Shanice Lubrun. She is a 2018 graduate of Bramalea Secondary School where she played soccer and volleyball. She was also named to the school's honor roll. Spence chose ORU because it is a Christian school, liked the environment and thinks the coaching staff is great.

Natalie Abbate commits to oakland university
ROCHESTER, Mich. - Oakland women's soccer head coach Juan Pablo Favero has announced Wednesday the addition of 14 student-athletes during the 2018 signing period. The 2018 class is comprised of Natalie Abbate, Carmela Barro, Maria De la Fuente, Fotini Demetriou, Elyssa Holfeld, Jordan Lafferty, Nikki May, Kaylie Peake, Laura Rodrigo, Alexa Sabbagh, Lauryn Souflard, Noëmi Stadelmann, Sophie Wilsey and Kendra Zak.
